Another issue came up:
I opened a simple .txt file and I set the option to "show/hide spaces, tabs & line ends".
when dragging the lower scrollbar to the right it generated an access violation with following exception results:

I've just read that some people experienced problems with the wordwrap function.
That make me remember that I first had my first crash after having activated wordwrap on 4.53. I was typing some text same as I would in notepad, and when the carret arrived near the bottom right corner of PSPad, it just crashed (and I don't saved the document of course).
The first time the crash appeared, I couldn't sent the bug report because an error dialog keep displaying even after 30 seconds of clicking "OK"... So I had to terminate the process using the Task Manager. And I lost my file. Then the same crash appeared randomly, but that time I was able to use the dialog to send the bug report by email. Coult those crashes be linked to the wordwrap function and if yes, is it fixed now ?

steph:Hi,Found strange behaviour of C code explorer. Try this piece of code :
void func()
{ /* this is a comment closed next line
*/
if (test)
{}
}C code explorer will give you 2 functions :
func()
if (test)
which is obvioulsy not the case.C code explorer work correctly when writing :
void func()
{ /* this is a comment closed at the end of line */
if (test)
{}
}Did I miss something ?
Can anybody confirm this trouble ?

Hi Jan
don't know whether this one has been reported:
switching between asci and hex mode makes the cursor jump to another position => so you can't see the hex code of a character you selected before.
Thanks!!!

Not THAT matter
But such logs are too long for to post here
and not from interests for other users.
So please post only you have that matter
and that you have send the log itself to Jan per mail.
(See PSPad help menu for the email address)
Thanks for your understanding
.

This is not new to this build but I thought of mentioning.
There seams to be a problem with the auto-spelling feature. First of all the red underlining sometimes does not take the full length (eg for words containing a dash sign like right-click) of a word but most importantly if you right-click to correct a spelling the red underlining is lost sometimes and I usually deactivate with the button auto-spelling and reactivate it back to correct this.
Has anyone else noticed this behavior? The straing thing is that while the underlining is lost the state doesn't change, i.e. while a word doesn't have the marking as having a wrong typo if you right-click on it you do get the options for correction. Than means that PSPad knows is wrong it just looses the indication.

Found temporrary solution for crashing when WordWrap is on and line is longer then about 1200-1400 characters - wrote about it in post #26 this threat
Solution:
Just turn off 'Wrap (soft) with right edge' in Settings/Editor behavior. With this setting set to off no problem with crashing.
Can somebody with same problem confirm it?
Best wishes
Arek
