I have apparently done something to change my settings and now the icons for search, open and save are missing. How do I get them back? using ver 5.0.3

well since they are gone, it's a bit hard to describe, but as I recall, there was a line above all the file buttons that had an hourglass for search, and an icon (maybe a file folder?) for Open File and I believe a icon of a floppy disk for Save File.

Maybe screenshot should help us to understand each other.
Use any public picture upload service, e.g. ctrlv.cz and put link with screenshot here please.

Hello
Now I understand. You hid toolbars. Pres F2 or go to menu View / Toolbars / Show/hide toolbars

If you need to make more space for editing, F2 and Ctrl+F2 hides toolbar and left panel. Press again to show it back.

Thank you! I was probably doing a search and hit F2 instead of F3
