From my POV: yes. I haven't found any bugs in the latest version so far. Perhaps "Multi-Line Search Add-On" is a good subject choice.

Thanks for this new 1.4.0 version. smiling smiley

I have customized the addMenuItem "Multiline Search / Replace", "", "phReplace", "Ctrl+Alt+F" line in the phreplace.vbs file to change the shortcut for this application. smoking smiley
It works well if the new shortcut is not defined for another function.
It should be documented in the phreplace.txt file or/and the first entry of this topic.

I prefer to use Phreplace with Always On Top=False in the INI [Settings] smoking smiley

I have tried to play with Tab Switching=True or False but I don't know how to have the Tab switching between the fields and options of Phreplace.
In one of my trials, after a phreplace.ini edit, it works but later, after others edit, it no more works. sad smiley
Can you investigate ?

In the future, will you try to create a way to make a translation of your good tool ?
I will be happy to create the french language translation file for it tongue sticking out smiley

Best regards winking smiley

Yeah, I'd love to have the subject line changed if you can do that stephan. I agree that 'Multi-Line Search Add-On' is a fair description.

While you're doing that can you ammend the first post to include the following;

Quote:
To change the shortcut key for phreplace, open the file
{PSPad Folder}\Script\VBScript\phreplace.vbs and edit the line that reads

addMenuItem "Multiline Search / Replace", "", "phReplace", "Ctrl+Alt+F"

changing Ctrl+Alt+F to the key combination you want.

Vista Users
To run phreplace in vista;

1. In the start menu, search for 'cmd'
2. Right click on the cmd (Command Prompt) and select 'Run as administrator'
3. Type 'regsvr32 {PSPad Folder}\phreplace.dll' (the PSPad folder is c:\program files\pspad by default).
4. Now run PSPad and start phreplace

Menet, that tab-switching isn't really working, it drove me mad for a while there then I forgot about it. How it's supposed to work is when tab-switching is off, the tab key just enters a tab in the text area. If tab switching is on then tab moves between the text areas and buttons, and shift-tab inserts a tab into the text area. None of the keyboard shortcuts seem to be working any more (they used to) so I'll add that to the todo list.

New version of phReplace 1.4.2 released with the following (minor) changes:

* Stop phReplace defaulting to 'Start from Begining' everytime it is opened.
* Display the search match in the middle of the screen.

Hello

I think there is a bug with the last version 1.4.2 (and probably old one)

I try to replace the following text:
[Test]
TransfertFTP=1
ServeurFTP=10.1.1.1
Utilisateur=test
Pwd=123456789

by

[Test]
TransfertFTP=1
ServeurFTP=10.2.2.2
Utilisateur=foo
Pwd=ABDCDEFGHI

And it does not works.
I have the following message box.

You can find the following files in order to test here:
www.midload.com

Can you confirm this?

I can confirm this strange behaviour; there seem to be some inconsistency between the available functions of the script: Search works, Replace correctly highlights the match but doesn't replace it, only "Replace all" can also replace the match with the another string.

Thanks vbr for this confirmation.
I hope you will be able to correct this small bug.

In any case, I really love PhReplace!

Thanks and have a nice day.
