Unfortunately, Vista doesn't seem to be supported (yet). See the notice of the author of this add-on:

Hi,
New version of phReplace released 1.3.18.
This allows you to use backreferences ($1) on a single replace rather than just replace all.
Sorry I haven't got this working with Vista yet, I haven't got a copy of Vista to test with unfortunately.
Am I supposed to be able to edit my original post to update the latest version info? I don't seem to be able to edit my posts.
Cheers.

And I suppose that it wouldn't help you to know what kind of error it crashes on, would it? It's some hexadecimal number.

I will replace memory manager. I hope it helps.

Many thanks for the new version! The full support for backreferences in RE is really a great enhancement.

Sure you should be able to edit your own post.
There should be an "Edit" link below every post..

No, there isn't. It is there after submitting a post, but gets disabled after some time. At least this applies to "normal" users. Moderators can even edit other users' posts, I guess.

You can edit your post about 60 minutes.
I think it's enough you are able to correct your post.
