Compared to the latest 5.0.7, the editor method OpenFileFromFTP behaves differently (and works no longer)
It immediately asks where to save the file locally. When I choose "desktop" f.e. it saves the file but I receive a message that the file cannot be opened...

Open program settings / backup and check if the FTP temp file exists

Hi, the FTP map from backup does exist and has all rights - it's the same as for the local files.
With the same settings it works with the previous version but when applying the new version it no longer works.

It's a local folder?
Do you run PSPad without elevated rights?
Can you try restore PSPad.ini from your backup?

It is indeed a local folder.
My PSPAD is installed in personal directory c:\marc\pspad with all rights, so no elevation needed.
The INI file from version 815 was the same as from working version 779.

In the original thread I said "Compared to the latest 5.0.7, ..."
But I meant version 5.1.779: this version still works but the latest 815 doesn't.

It isn't problem. I will follow it

I totally second the suggestion to put a line in the Update control window about new strings to translate, maybe with a bit more neutral notice like:

"New string(s) added to translation files."

In this version, when multiline tabs enabled and tab panel got multilined due to the number of files opened, it doesn't shrink back when files closed and just one line of tabs remained. It draws an empty line which takes space of screen height.

I don't remember, how build 812th behavior was.
