Test
AkelPad (64-bit) - open
WordPad (Windows 7) - open
Notepad2 - open
Notepad++ (32-bit) - open
UltraEdit - open
PSPad - NOT OPEN... How to "force" on the program for more information - why not open the file?

How? I ask how to reproduce? This program can not debug, no logs, only a very limited and stupid message "Can not open file" this is really annoying.
Ok, I reduced text file to 77MB and is still not open.

Example:
gci -filter *.txt d:\ -r | % { $_.FullName } | select-string -pattern '\\Name.*?\\' > d:\list.txt

OK. Again. In the future version I will extend message to show reason why file wasn't open.
What text editor provides you detailed debug info?
PSpad gives enough debug info for any exception. If file can't be opened, it isn't exception.
From next build you will see system message. It should be enough to tell you the reason why the file can't be open.
