Hmmm...
At this time shows 10 MB of RAM and I have 100 open tabs with VERRRRYYY large texts.
So what's the problem?
Open(LARGE TXT) VS Copy/Paste(LARGE TXT) -It's not the same thing?

This is probably a bug.

I explained you the reason. if you use task manager to see memory, add column paged pool to see whole memory for each process.

You see part of the occupied memory only. Add column pagged pool (menu View / Select columns)
Or do you really think if you open 100+ big files as you wrote, you will occupy 600MB of RAM?

104 open TAB !!!
I could prove it but I can not show screen due to private bookmark names.
Example 2:
300 MB (TXT) - (Out Of Memory) Russian chars name
400 MB (TXT) - ( Little Memory) Normal chars name

PSPad works internally in unicode. If you have ansi file 400MB, it will consum 800MB of RAM (each char 2 bytes).
Don't forget for UNDO buffer in PSPad if you paste some text.
Display column pagged pool in task manater I mentioned in my previous answer.

Can't open doesn't mean there isn't enough memory, but there musty be another reason. E.g. file is locked by another application.
300MB UTF-8 is about 500MB of RAM in UTF-16
