The shortcut to "Compile with Log" (aRun1) executes the first external application.
But the shortcut to aRun2 and aRun3 do not execute the second and third external application. Nor do their names show up in the "File > Open with Program" menu.

Sorry, wrong statements regarding external application above from me. I was only looking at the Highligher settings, but I had in the project settings not all the external applications. The project settings had precedence. With loading the highlighter settings into the project settings solved the issue.

pash:
German Umlaute (äöü ...) are broken, they are displayed as a box.

Hello Jan,

are you working on this one? I have this problem too.
Saved some sheets to CSV files with OOo Calc in
Windows-1252
ISO-8859-15
ISO-8859-1
ASCII/US
Unicode (UTF-8)
Only UTF-8 is displayed correctly when opening CSV in PSPad.

I switched back to 2655 it's ok there.

ps I'm always working with UTF-8 but some customers send me CSV with other coding. I think MS Excel is not able to save in UTF-8.

You should be able to open it in ANSI. I guess CP1252 for you, ISO 8859-1 should be ok too.
In the last build was change in UTF-8 loading, nothing else.
Isn't Office able to save file in Unicode?

I am prepared to transfer PSpad into new Delphi version (full unicode support, include controls, language files e.t.c., if all will be OK, there will be 64 bits PSPad version too), but it will consume big amount of time and I won't be able to keep current version and prepare new version together. So I need to stabilize current version and start work on the new one.

My PSPad is set to use UNIX line endings and UTF-8 coding by default and I do not want to change this. But I'm not able to open files mentioned before with d. click so that the chars are displayed correctly. Changing format to ANSI or ISO after opening the file with d. click did not help either. With 2655 chars are displayed correct after opening with d. click. It's also not possible to save an ANSI file in UTF-8 anymore with 2656 - special chars are damaged then.

I do not use MS Office but read a lot about troubles when trying to save CSVs to UTF-8 with Excel.

Is it possible to rollback the new behavior in 2656 to 2655 without loosing other new features?

ps ISO-8859-15 is for german with EURO €.

If you want to open file with different encoding, change it in the format menu and Reopen File (Ctrl+R)

What happened with your German Umlaute characters? How do you see it when you open your file?

Yes this will work, but in 2655 it works without this action although I don't know how it should be possible to detect a files encode setting.

This is how chars look public.andreasburg.de

Hello

The first picture is file with non utf-8 open as UTF-8
What will happen if you switch encoding in menu format to ANSI and press Ctrl+R?

There is a difference agains the previous bild. I am using system function to encode file from UTF-8 to UTF-16. Previous version refuses to open file if there was something "wrong" and opens file as ANSI. This version opens it in encoding you want and don't refuse it.
