Believe it or not, this huge 4MB file covers only the most basic vocabulary of German. I think we mustn't expect it to get much better than that.
Thus, version 3.4.1 is out now, and I hope it's the final version (though I've thought that before).

I am still working on this, so if somebody else wants to join in: Let us coordinate our efforts here. Presently I am trying to get this dictionary down to a manageable size. I have a list of ~30,000 deletion candidates I will be reviewing over the next weeks (or days?).

Wenn also jemand Lust hat, über die Feiertage ein paar tausend Wörter zu korrigieren oder zu löschen ... nur zu!

Version 3.9.1 is a major update.
I have now done what I should have done in the first place: I removed about 30,000 misspelled and very uncommon words from the list. This makes the dictionary smaller and much easier to maintain.
I think it works as good as any other spell-check app now.

But 3.9.1 (295681) is greater then 3.9.0 (281238)? *curios wondering*

Yes, I was a little inexplicit. What I meant was: the 3.9.x versions contain less entries than the earlier ones, but 3.9.1 is larger than its predecessor 3.9.0. The largest change was between the 3.4.x and 3.9.x versions.
