Assign shortcut key to browser preview

When I open a Perl file (*.pl), it does show "Perl" in the editor status bar at the bottom.

This issue occurs in 5.0.7 (675) 64 bit.

What dies it dhows on statusbar?

When I open an existing Perl file (.pl), this is the info displayed in the status bar:

The key mappings do not work in this case.

I tested it and it works correctly in future build. I am on vacation now this week, please wait for next build

Thanks. FWIW, I noticed this regarding the issue in 5.0.7:

If I open a .PL file by double-clicking on a file in Windows File Explorer or from FileZilla, it opens the file in PSPad (PSPad is associated with the .PL extension) and the key mappings work fine. I made sure it was opening the 5.0.7 version in this case.

If I open the PSPad 5.0.7 application first without a file using a shortcut on my desktop, THEN use CTRL+O to select a .PL file to open from within PSPad, then key mappings don't work.

I am able to simulate it now.

When I open file after pspad is started, shortcuts don't works. Enough is Ctrl+Space - call code clips list and shortcuts start work.

The Ctrl+Space trick loads the other highlighter key mappings, but it doesn't load my key mapping to execute the Perl compiler to run a syntax check (F8 on my system).

If I click the word "Perl" in the status bar to bring up the Change Syntax window and then close it without changing anything, then F8 works to run the Perl compiler according to my custom key mappings.
