#1 pspad damaged files?

Posted by: Macari | Date: 2015-10-19 19:05 | IP: IP Logged

First, this happen very rare, but you can say minimum one time each month (I find it), so I think. So I want report it here, but I can't reproduce it.

I use pspad daily (I love it) and since windows 8.1 I catch a strange problem with pspad. See here: www2.pic-upload.de

I use windows 8.1 64 bit with pspad 4.6.0 (2671). I update often pspad and this happen long time in previous versions too. I have no problems with windows 8.1. No crashes, no damaged ssd, all run fine.

The error in file is always the same. This error happen this time in a file with that I work the last 2 days (only with pspad!).

Any clue?

I have the error again, with a fresh install of pspad include update 2703.

I have you send a shrinked version of the error file via email.

Here is the same report:

Hi,
just a wild guess, could this problem be possibly connected with code-clips insertion?
The offending code in the previous picture
forum.pspad.com
looks similar to the default code template to "foreach" in php.
Was this template eventually used prior to saving - resulting in the problems described (and likewise in other observed cases)?
Can you check the template file itself for this clip and the encoding of the clip file?
This might explain the problems in inserting some unwanted data, which an editor shouldn't do automatically or even randomly.

regards,
vbr

Unfortunately, this have nothing todo with foreach. smiling smiley

I found out, that this bug comes not only with save files. I have open a php-file that is few months old (original loaded from github) and have this error too. I closed it and open again and the error was away. So pspad add this error with open files too.

I've seen that there are reports on misbehaviour of PSPad editor when it is left open for very long time and the OS is put to "Hibernate" or "Stand by" mode (e.g. forum.pspad.com). Maybe a future build without a memory manager would help you.
