Hi Jan, it did work until this latest release...
I guess the following happens:
1) opening a file with FTP : the file is "imported" in a temp folder somewhere in my local C:
2) doing some changes in the text
3) F12 = save as to this local file
or "save to ftp" or simply "save" = save back to FTP
point 2) seems to be missing?
with the other version the temp file was opened and after opening & saving it in an external program (ex. xml editor, comparer, ...) the temp file is changed and was detected by PSPad ; a dialog opened with the question to accept the external changes...
so indeed, no controls if a ftp source has changed but it should check the temp file?
practical example:
open ftp "ftp_file_1" (autom. into temp local file "TEMP_FILE1")
open ftp "ftp_file_2" (autom. into temp local file "TEMP_FILE2")
start file compare using external "diffmerge"
- compare is done between temp local files
- modify "TEMP_FILE2"
stop file compare
PSPad detected a file change (older versions)
but:
PSPad does not detect the file change (this latest version)
As a result, the file "TEMP_FILE2" is modified but PSPad does not show the changes...

Have you changed file content to influence of filesize? Cause as I remember, I can ask fize of FTP objekt, but not the datetime.

I did not change anything through FTP...
Just opened the file and then using PSPad VBscript I open the temp file.
After the external modification of the temp file, PSPad did not detect the change anymore...

I'm not able to use dark theme. When I select "pspad dark" skin, in color config menu, and I press apply it becomes black but as soon I press ok it reverts to white.
Any idea ? I tried to delete all my config files from AppData\Roaming\PSpad and start with a clean config, but I've got the same issue.

Where is PSpad installed? Did you installed full version of PSPad?
If you installed PSpad and is placed in Program files folder, do you have
Program settings / System integration - multiuser environment enabled?

Sorry, it works. I don't know why, when I press ok it reverts to white, but if I close and reopen pspad it is black.
Thanks

Two problems with 407:
- Program saves top and left coordinates on close but does not use them when launching. Tested on three different PCs
- HTML export to clipboard still uses white background when dark theme is selected

hello
I can't confirm the first problem.

Hi Jan,
Small update on my problem : it was probibly a coincidence...
Good news : the file change detection using FTP files still works with the new version! And the issue has nothing to do with FTP...
When I change a text "ABC" into "012345", PSPad does detect a file change = OK.
But probably what I encountered (and confused me) was changing a text "ABC" into "XYZ" : the contents are indeed different but the SIZE remain the same, so : no file change...
Perhaps that could be a solution : maintaining some kind of a hash of the file?
