pspad:PSpad checks file changes if comes from nonactive to active state, e.g. application switching.
Wouldn't it be useful to check directly before saving, too?

Maybe will be usefull to use some CSV system if more then one people work on same source file

Yes, CVS is the best choice, but after 2357 is very easy to overwrite a file!
Try to open the same file in two instances, when you save in one and put the focus in the other it say nothing!
2357 works perfectly throwing an alert to reload the file!
is difficult find what is changed and correct it?

I've just retry with a clean 2283 installation.
1stInstance: new txt file saved
2stInstance: open the same txt file saved, modified and saved
1stInstance: get the change, reload, modify and save
2stInstance: no alert, change and save
1stInstance: no alert, change and save
2stInstance: no alert, change and save
....
it seems to always catch the first, then is very very difficult to get a change alert (but some times it comes up)
i'm on XP SP3, if you need more info, just ask

I confirm this issue. There used to be a message: "rs_FileWasChangedQuestion=File Contents were Changed. Reload ?"
which does not appear - file change is not detected at all.

pspad:for new file extension TXT is set when Highlighter is switched off in Syntax change dialog
Is this supposed to fix the uppercase TXT extension bug described here.
I still the the uppercase TXT extension problem with PSPad 4.5.5 (2303). To reproduce I have a clean install of Windows 7 Pro 64bit. I installed 4.5.4 (without running it) and and then updated to 4.5.5. At this point my new txt extensions are still lower case. I then go to "Settings->System integration" and check "Open TXT files". Now when I create a new text file in Windows Explorer its extension TXT is all uppercase.
Fortunately the fix described in the original thread still works.

Hello,
I had sever problems to copy PSPadShell.dll
into the PSPaD directory.
The message was: The file is shared with
a process. (The message was in german language)
I had to start the machine in the secure modus
with terminal prompt.
I don't know, if it is a PSPaD issue or if it
is a MS-XP-Windows issue.
Regards,
stefan

The Explorer extension PSPadShell.dll is always in use while Windows is running. Unregistering the old dll before copying the new one should usually help.
