I use the FixedSys font, and this new release causes extra spaces to be displayed. In the snapshot below, you can see that lines are significantly longer in PSPad than in notepad with the same font.
Since verion 4.5, PSPad had extra spacing when syntax coloring was on, and there was at least one "bold" formating in the coloring scheme. But now I ALWAYS get this extra space, even when syntaxt highlighting in off.
Notice also the bottom status bar, which contains erroneous graphics. This is not new, I often get this (minor) bug since a while now.
Thanks anyway for your effort, Jan.

Program settings / Direct edit
ExtralineSpacing=1

I tried this setting, and got the following display:
It is more compact, but it is still not as compact as it used to be (and as it is in notepad)

Extralinespacing=0

Arrrrg, you did not correct the following bug
forum.pspad.com
Please, could you correct it for the next build because it is too much annoying.
It is really simple to reproduce.
- Close PSPad.
- Open a document (with the right clic) from you desktop => PSPad open the document
- Now return to you desktop, select two files and open them always with the right clic => PSPad open many empty documents with the name of the folder which contains the files (problem with spaces I suppose)
It would be really good if you could update this version.
Thanks and have a nice day.

Hi all,
Is the current behaviour for the direct modification of the configuration is the intented one? (must cancel in the config panel after direct edit to validate...)
A reflect of the modified options in the config panel would be more understandable.
I've a suggestion to make too : add directly the *.hh and *.cc for the c++ file types.

I've tried both values (0 and 1). It only changes spaces BETWEEN LINES. But my problem is space BETWEEN CHARS ON THE SAME LINE. So this option doesn't solve the problem.
