It's a pun. In Czech language it is pronounced as PES Pad and "pes" means "dog"
In the fact PS are initial names of company I worked before. It's my product, but cause I used company developer tool in my free time...

Wow! Never thought before. In Russian we have same word – пёс, which means male dog.

I used similar pun in my program. Its name is PE Tool, shortened to pet (pet.exe). Being console program it uses ASCII art to display logo. I like cats, so program's mascot is cat.
