Where is the option in PSPad:
Count sentences.

Do not confuse with:
-Number of characters
-Number of words

Hello

There is nothing like number of sentences.
Nobody wanted it yet. But on the first look it can be complicated, because grmatics in languages is different. Plus chapters names, lists in text e.t.c.

PSPad offers you possibility to extend his functionalitu using scripting - VBScript and JScript are part of Windows. Scripting is described in the help.

Examples:

This is a chapter title
Here continues some text.

vs

Here is some sentence where
Peter loads his gun.

In example 1 there are 2 sentences.
In example 2 there is only one sentece. How can program recognize difference?

Use regular expressions, search for sentence ending chars and use count button in search dialog.

From what I know, I do not need any regular expressions.
You can do it in some SIMPLE or EXTRA Online editor (on some page) , but too big text to paste in and you do not know if it's private!

But it is not easy PSPad Editor - as it seems to you. There are not even any examples of how to do it.

You can add this similar feature???

IMHO there's no need for such a function. Even programs that are build especially for writing like writer or word do not have such an option.

If someone wants to analyze text in special ways he has to ask for a solution in a forum for e.g. JavaScript or PHP. Then he can write a script to do his analysis within pspad.

Well, you have to deal with yourself, or assume topics in other different forums. At the beginning of the topic I asked for a quite simple function, which if not in PSPad, look for it in another editor.
Nothing special, just a regular expression and a counter. It's just that in another editor, for example, it shows 4 sentences (correctly), and in PSPad 5 sentences (wrong!) etc. I do not go into details because I will not argue about the function, stability and speed.

Maki. As usually from simple function is very long list of text analyse functions
Your simple request - count sentences isn't exact, cause count of name of chapter is sentence too. Items in the list are sentences too.
Your idea (sentence ends with sme chars) will work only for you and only in some languages. For others it will be unaccurate and they will request changes. And changes will break your sentence counting.
Use scripting and write simple script, which will count sentences for you or add another counting from your analyse.
