You can't compile any Delphi code under Kylix. You have to replace VCL component with CLX component, many components are missing, many functionality will be lost...
You can't use any WinAPI function...

Well, if it wasn't writen on Delphi, you could compile it with WineLIB...
Any other ideas - and - more important - a desire for porting this app?

I've got a HUGE desire to see this on OS X. This is hands down the best app for coding but I do a lot of work on my mac!

I've had friends on PC's who used this app but, since I develop and work on MAC only I never really thought about checking it out. Recently needed a code editor on my work PC so grabbed PSPad. I LOVE IT!!! Problem is, I only do 10% of my work from a PC. I have been searching for a MAC app with some of the features that I was amazed to learn your program had. Too bad there isn't a MAC version.

Have you tried KDevelop? I think it should be able to compile on Mac OS X without too much trouble, if any.
I haven't really used it much myself, but it's supposed to be great.

Absolutely best coding app (I've been using it at work for 2+ years) and I would be happy to pay a reasonable license fee if this was ported to Mac. Freakin' sweet.

I'm an avid Mac and Linux user that is also an editor snob. I'm here cuz a fellow geek tipped me off and I have to confess PSPad is looking good.
However, lack of Mac and Linux support is an absolute show stopper.
The big editor feature that motivates me is column oriented (or block oriented) editing.
I've been using jEdit lately. jEdit is the best I've found for Mac,Linus and Windoze. I'm damn starting to thing there is a business to be made by making my own cross platform editor that is up for professional grade use.

Hey Jan, I would pay a fat license to get PSPad ported to Mac OSX.
