Apostrophes and speechmarks

Hi,

When I copy from MS Word to PSPad the apostrophes and speechmarks are not recognised.

Would someone be good enough to explain how to get around this please?

"Are not recognized" means what?

When I copy text from MS Word into PSpad, it contains same apostrophes and speachmarks as in the word.

If you mean those characters are not recognized in programming language, it's correct, cause programming languages doesn't use word like characters.

Not sure what you mean. I used to be able to copy and paste from Word.

Is there a setting that saves me having to edit every apostrophe and speechmark when I have copied into pspad?

There is no special option. I tested it, just copy from word and paste to PSPad. All chars stay same as in Word.

What PSpad version do you use?

4.5.4

copy and paste used to work, but not now.

Visit PSPad web and download the current PSPad 4.5.6 version
from: www.pspad.com

Please ensure that you don't install PSPad as portable. No application has rights to write into Program files folder.

I can send you screenshots. When I copy from word, I got same characters in PSPad after paste. No character transformation is done. There isn't any transformation programmed as well.
