Can you try pasting this sentence then. It is straight from my Word page and like in the examples I gave in a previous post the appostrophes are different. Will be interesting to see if they paste into your pspad OK.

I do believe you that it works for you, but I could send screenshots as well smiling smiley

Which Font is used to show the Text in PsPad (CodePage?/ unicode?)

Which Charset is used for the File (ansi/Unicode/utf8 OEM)
(look at statusbar of pspad Edit-Window)

Are the "round" apostrophes and quotation marks really lost immediately just on copying them from a word document?
Or is it rather on saving and reopening the file?
- the second case would be understandable, as such characters are outside of the character set supported by windows-1252.
Using, say, utf-8, you would be able to encode any valid unicode character looselessly.

I've tried a few different ways and even copying to Notepad and then to PSPad. When I check the html in a browser I get this-

I�ve �Speech�

In the PSPas brwoser it shows little squares instead of the symbols above.

I have to edit each and every apostrophe and speechmark to correct it.

Are you sure you have correct META tag charset in your HTML conrresponding to code page what the file is stored?
