Did you see my previous post about the position of the update dialog been centered on multi-displays i.e. can be in bad position?

Yes, but you need to update updater itself. I need to find mechanism how to update updater.

OK, the most recent version that I have is the one in the 598 zip update file; this (PSPUpdater.exe) was from 4/13/2021 which still opens in the middle of 2 display systems.

Next version will open in screen center, will append log and will be able to update updater itself.
Wait fo weekend build please

Don't post the log here, rather send them to Jan by mail.
Post maybe only some information from the log 'header' and 'footer',
(like I has left back) so others can see that something related is going on.

Also please describe most exactly what you have done
right before and e.g. how often that error occurs.
- For example:
- PSPad runs for x hours.
- I had n files open.
- Problematic file in question was a *.XXX with X byte in size.
- If I click/do/execute (..accurate instructions here..)
- I had expected:
- But I got instead:
- I can reproduce this every time / only once.
- I had verified that with:
--- older/newer builds
--- on other Computers
--- with other files, and I can report...

Please send exception reports to support mail. Thank you.
If you use web mail interface or e-mail client without simple mapi support, there is still possibility to copy content to clipboard and paste into any mail in the PSPad excepiton dialog.

And please add sjort description what di you do when exception occured, e.g.: close file
In some cases I am not able recognize what caused exception.

When performing double-click in file browser of tool bar onto a PHP file, I got a small window telling me "Text editor funktioniert nicht mehr". No access violation window appeared. I can only hit button "Programm schließen". which will close PSPad.
I had the same error and window appearing sometimes on previous versions.
I will switch later to the new dev version 600.
