This has been happening for several versions and just forgot to mention it.
1) Open PSPad x64 (does the same with 32 bit) with no tools panel and no document.
2) Click settings, user highlighter
3) Then no matter what I do I cannot exit the dialog with cancel, I have to kill PSPad in TaskManager

I know, together with many other bugs.
I won't rerelease 5.0.2, better will be release 5.0.3, but after some other fixes.
