Hi Jan,

Installed 64b.

Help>About says 64b.

PSPad editor header still says 32b.

Thanks,

If you open PSPad.exe itself, the title shows (64b). But if you open a code (tcl or py in my case) by context menu, the title shows (32b)

Do you have both versions available? When you will look at Help / About, is there 32b version too?

No, in the editor's folder there is just one PSPad.exe file. Or I don't understand your question

No, in both cases Help->About shows 64b

#18 Re: PSPad unicode 5.0.2 (319) English - Settings lost after crash

Posted by: Andreas | Date: 2019-05-16 19:49 | IP: IP Logged

Windows 10, portable, not in a system folder.

After crashes some settings are lost.

Lately I lost
_ some settings from the view menu - ruler
_ the macro shortcuts (not the macros itself)
_ some settings regarding the highlighter
__ selected highlighters
__ highlighters file masks

Actual I lost
_ the recent.ini
_ all opened tabs
_ the "last files history"

I watched this in earlier version too (maybe not all of this, recent.ini?)

Unfortunately still to much crashes.

You also lose the macro shortcuts if you change the language. I once reported in an older ticket.

I am glad that I have not lost my FTP connections.

Ups it happened again. Error message "list index out of bound" or similar. Can't start pspad anymore. Found this in pspad.ini

...
[Asociace]
AllFile=1
IE?? le ?? ???????? ???o??k $ k ???o??o # l ??? CESKY ???o??b "
???o??r - ß ???Q ?? ??? <?php ??? */ ??? /** ??? /** ??? */ ??? } ??? if ( ??? ) { ??? =1
IE edit=1
...

Can not start pspad after correcting this bad line.

What I did before was opened some files. Searched for some text and clicked on "list". Maybe the 5th time the crash occures. Some of the files have the same name but in different folders.

Ok, now I can start pspad again. I wanted to restart Windows, and I noticed that there is still a process running that is not responding. It was not visible in the Task Manager. But I have a tool that kills such tasks.
