This really is an awesome editor! But there is a one long standing bug/feature that annooys me. When using as a source editor for Opera, it also opens PSPad.exe in hex editor..
This might be Opera's fault also, I don't know..
Anyway, I can live with that if it can't be fixed.
Thank you for great editor!

Which way do you set the PSPad association in Opera?
After setting the PSPad path in Opera:
Tools :: Preferences :: Advanced :: Programs :
Choose application for viewing the source
it works as expected on my computer (XPp, Pspad 4.5.3 2243, Opera 9.02).

Hi,
Thanks for that great editor. I especially like the built-in ftp feature.
I have a problem with the tab behaviour.
Sometimes it will not work properly. After tabs and backtabs the line starts one character behind or further.
best regards,
Mahir

Hello,
I have found a small problem with highligter settings and .cmd file
Here is the way to reproduce it :
- Create a file named test.cmd for example and copy the following text.
@echo off
echo Begin Test PSPad
net stop my_service
echo End Test PSPad
echo -----------------------------------------------------------------
Now, have a look on the screenshots.
You can see that color change you move the active line.
Could you fix it please ?
Thanks and have a nice day.

fubo:This is the best editor I had ever used! Now I noticed a strange behaviour. I use it at home on a notebook connected to an external LCD monitor. Normally, I use only the LCD, keeping the notebook monitor off. Till this version PSPad is not able to recall last window position on that external monitor. Is that a bug or a feature?

marj:Thank for this new updateDaniel:I have a suggestion on supporting UTF-8 with and without BOM. Is it possible to add another Code page type in the "Format" menu just like the 2 UTF-16 types "UTF-16 LE" and "UTF-16 BE" so you now have "UTF-8" and "UTF-8 BOM". You can then remove the obscure "indent.bytes in UTF-8 coding" option in the "Program behaviour" section of "Program Settings".This is a nice and lovely feature. It would be great for me too
OK, strange things append.
till 451 I had no BOM problems. round some weeks ago, after a crash, you told me to upgrade to pspad452b2237. so I did and then had BOM problems - which is very anoying for me.
I later tried with 2239, then 2243, and still got the same problem.
I had to switch to another software to make the job
last week end I uninstalled completely PSPad. then reinstalled it with pspad450inst_en.exe, pspad451inst_en.exe and pspad452inst_en.exe.
at least I installed pspad453b2243.cab again.
and now I don't have BOMs anymore, whatever I do in the setup.
it's now OK for me now.
just to let you know
cheers

I already tried it, but nothing changed.
I also discovered another issue: when I open a file from the shell, with right click -> PSPad, I am able to edit it, but when I close PSPad, it locks for a long time (I have to kill the process a few times).
