Thank you for your great job!

What about 2 monitor support when editor remembers its position on second monitor?

Thanks for this wonderful editor. I'd like to report a bug about search & replace. When I look for ", " and replace with carriage return by "\n", the calculation of next search is wrong after having replaced the very first comma plus a space. Thus though the count has 32x, but the result has done successfully for the first item only, and all the rest can't be replaced.

Hi,

does anony know of these in newer Pspad betas. I would not update now and would
be glad to have these issues been resolved:

CTRL+SHIFT+N and CTRL+SHIFT+C and CTRL+SHIFT+L toggle the selection type. But
the shortcuts are not shown in the menu .. bug or feature?

The selection type is specific for one editor window. So two different windows
can have two selection types ... I did not expect it .. is it a feature?

How about a default short-cut for searching in files. I always repeat setting
ALT+F for every new installed PsPad. Could the shortcut for the Format menu change
to ALT+O ?

The action "Remove redundant spaces" does not work as expected when the
selection type "Column Selection" is active. It leaves spaces in a block.

It starts very slowly ... something happens in 2243 what PsPad 4.3.3 didn't do.

The C/C++ code explorer shows the / of a /* comment */ behind an include file
inside for any .c file.

It has a very weird caret bug. The caret freezes at a position regardless of how
many characters I move with the cursor key. The mouse finally sets the caret by
clicking on a character. This starts in one editor window and leaves the other
editor windows working .. could it be triggered by syntax highlighters? I havent
seen the bug in 2200 and in 4.3.3.

The clipboard still crashes in Win XP during the first 5 tries or minutes of
Copy & Paste. This is my most orbiting bug since 4.5.0 and it hinders me to
spread the word about this editor to my neighbourhood.

(try regular search ",\s*", replace with ", ", do the align skript afterwards
and remove trailing spaces - a dream comes true for misaligned .csv files)

All shortcuts are in help, Editor shortcuts chapture
You can open it as HEML it from Program settings / KeyMap / Print

Each Editor has own selection type. It isn't a bug.

You can assign any shortcuts for Search in files you want. Program settings / KeyMap

PSPad starts slowly, you are right. 4.3.3 was ANSI version, 4.5.0 is unicode version - wide string handling i slower in some cases. 4.5.0 adds scripting support, PSPad needs to initialize WSH during start. YOu can disable scripting support in Program settings / System.

Do you use the 4.5.3 version ? There are some correction of C++ Code explorer.

I used no shortcuts about 2 years ago and now all important menu items have own short-cuts. I just wonder if you plan on setting up a new extended keymap .. which would be the default for all installations ..

It starts just fast enough if I turn off WSH scripting. It looks like the newer PsPad have a lot of options that need to be turned off ...

My setup evolved from 4.3.3 (very stable) to 2220 (fresh and stable) to 2243 now (cool but glitchy).

Daniel:
I have a suggestion on supporting UTF-8 with and without BOM. Is it possible to add another Code page type in the "Format" menu just like the 2 UTF-16 types "UTF-16 LE" and "UTF-16 BE" so you now have "UTF-8" and "UTF-8 BOM". You can then remove the obscure "indent.bytes in UTF-8 coding" option in the "Program behaviour" section of "Program Settings".

My vote goes for it too !

Regards,
Prozac
