I have an update on the wider character spacing. It happens when using a syntax hilighter. Non-highlited spacing is tha same as the 4.3.3 version

If I maximize pspad, my display show 197 characters wide by 74 lines high without having a hilighter selected. If I select a syntax highlighter, the display chages to 175 characters wide by 74 lines high. The characters are spread out with biggger spaces between them.

If I try the same experiment on v 4.3.3, the display is 197 characters wide in both syntax highlited and non hilighted mode.

<<<KEYWORD and KEYWORD; are not considered as a opening and closing quotes, it mixes up the syntax highlighting

The problem with the Visual Basic highlighter and code explorer and the word "class" in a line is still not solved :

Sub MySub1
Dim className
className = object.Class.Name
End Sub
Sub MySub2
End Sub

the variable "className" is truncated too...

Great enhancements in 4.5 anyway !
Keep the good work !

Please send me your code to mail as atachment. Code you sent into forum works OK for me. Maybe you have some strange chars into source or something...
And add your PSPad.INI to I will be able to test it with your configuration.

I've noticed problem with changed character spacing mentioned above. I've discover
wide character spacing appears when:
- syntax highlighting is turned on AND
- other font than default Courier New is selected (e.g. Lucida Console or Fixedsys) AND
- there is any item in selected highlighter emphasized by Bold font; this is not true in Multihiglighter case - problem stays although I disabled Bold mephasizing at all items at all highlighters

I remember similar problem appeared in non-Unicode version long time ago.
