#1 Strange formating in PSPAD and Notepad as well

Hi,

Please try to open attached text document. If you open it in Notepad or PSPad, you will see some text is formatted with different letter sizes (first line definitely) - yes, even in the PSPad or Notepad smiling smiley. I copy pasted the text from new Microsoft Teams to the PSPad and also to Notepad to see that. First 3 bytes of the file seems strange. What does it mean? I use Windows 10 and PSPad 5.5.1 (790).

Text file "chyba.txt" was uploaded here: file.io

I quite a guess that some text similar text in this attachment (e.g. copy/paste action from MS Teams) is triggering also that catastrophic bug others are writing about - where file gets corrupted completely. We can see that even Microsoft NotePad can not handle that file correctly.

File in HEX looks like this:

E2 81 A0 50 52 4F 4D 4F 5F 54 50 5F 43 4F 53 50
5F 49 44 5F 78 0D 0A 50 52 4F 4D 4F 5F 54 50 78
5F 53 54 41 52 54 5F 44 41 54 45 0D 0A 50 52 4F
4D 4F 5F 54 50 78 5F 45 4E 44 5F 44 41 54 45 0D
0A 50 52 4F 4D 4F 5F 54 50 78 5F 53 54 41 54 55
53 0D 0A 50 54 50 5F 52 45 4E 45 57 45 44 5F 54
49 4D 45 53 5F 78 0D 0A 50 54 50 5F 53 54 41 52

E2 81 is some form of UTF8 control character which trigger unpredictable behavior in files which are not UTF 8.

(I copy pasted some list from MS Temas to PSPad and later to notepad to replicate this).

Hex character E2 81 A0 are interpreted by PsPad as UTF8 somehow even if my file is UNIX type ANSI (central European 1250) coding:

www.compart.com

I think similar problem is causing also PSPAd crashes.
