#1 incorrect result searching two consecutive empty lines

Posted by: stroweis | Date: 2023-06-12 23:25 | IP: IP Logged

Hi,
I wanted to find if there are two consecutive empty lines in a text file.
So, using regular expression on, I entered the following string:

^$^$^$

PsPad moves to the next occurrence where there is one empty line, as if I had asked :

^$^$

It seems to me that it is an error, although a minor error.

Thank you for the tool.

Pspad searches line by line, not in whole text

and wouldn't it be a great improvement to get the option to use regex on all the content of the file in current editor? and/or in Search/Replace in Files...
