Re: PHP highlighter does not work automatically for large files

I think size is the key, I have 2 files with more than 1 and 2 MB on which this happens. It works fine with all other files and worked well with older versions with these as well.

It is no fatal bug, highlighting can be switched on immediately via "Change Syntax" dialog, but it annoys.

Applies to at least 504b407 and 504b517

Open program settings / Direct edit button
Increase value of the variable HLOnUpToSize, e.g.
HLOnUpToSize=500000
It means up to 500 000 bytes highlighter will be switched on automatically

There is no cencessary to "change syntax", only press the highlight syntax button or item in the menu view
