This gets logged in the Event Viewer and happens when exiting PSPad. In my case, I was editing an XML file, saving the changes, exiting. Heard a 'ping' and checked the Event Viewer.

Kernelbase.dll is operating system dll.
I suggest 32b version of PSPad, but users require 64b. It's a fashion?

Just a short comment why the 64bit version can make sense: I often have to investigate large trace files with more than 4Gbyte. This cannot work with the 32bit version so I tried it with the 64bit version. But it didn't work either winking smiley

It works. The only problem is report of the crash on close application.
There is no problem to have 2 PSPads together and 64b version use for large files only.

I will try to find reason of this behavior. It's based of compiler, not the source code. Source code is same.

Oh, I didn't refer to the reported problem with the dll. I meant that opening of very large files didn't work with the 64bit build either as I hoped. But nevermind, I don't care about both problems and would be much more happy if the problem with the occasionally injected garbage data could be tracked down.
