Empty PSP after closing with document

#1 Empty PSP after closing with document

Posted by: Kawesi | Date: 2020-03-30 20:50 | IP: IP Logged

I closed PSP (4.385) with a doc i wanna see when PSP starts next day. But PSP is empty.
I tried a few older ini-files. Same result. I terminated PSP also in tray each time.
I copied the old 3.777 into the new PSP folder replacing 4.385. The holded doc
apeared after start. No ini or dll file was changed.

There was no change in logic.
Program settings / files tells pspad what is remembered and restored.
Program settings / system integration, option multiuser environment tells if files are stored in pspad folder or userbprofile folder - file pspad_mu.ini next to pspad.exe

Recently open files are stored in recent.
Ini file.

I think I was clear enough.
With 3.777 resp. 4.385 i meant the exe-file (PSP.exe) and with ini I meant the
PSPad.ini, next to exe.
Both exe-files have different behavior in this matter.
But I solved my problem by switching off the hook at "system integration/minimize to tray".
Now 4.385-exe has the same wanted behavior like 3.377-exe in this case.

Sorry for the false tone!
The first sentence should be:
"I Think I wasn't clear enough"
First version sounds like a blame.

Program settings / system integration, option multiuser environment tells if files are stored:
pspad folder (unchecked)
userprofile folder file (checked)

This option is stored in pspad_mu.ini - always in PSPad folder

Previously opened files are stored in recent.ini file - it's placement depends of the Multiuser environment option

If you switched off multiuser environment and you will put PSPad into program files folder, nothing will be saved, cause PSpad has no right to write into this folder.
