Find/Replace use only selected text?

#1 Find/Replace use only selected text?

When I press ctrl-F or ctrl-H to do a Find or Replace, the word at the cursor is automatically filled in to the search box.

Is there a way to make it only automatically fill in selected text, and if no text is selected just use the last used search string? That's the way my mind works. If I want to search for a word I would double-click it to select it then hit ctrl-F/ctrl-H.

Ideally I would like the option to "Fill in Search field with selected/current text" be two options so I can turn off "current text" but keep "selected text". In the current implementation you get both, or neither.

Thanks

Selected text is filled in in case it's selected up to one line only.
If more than line is selected, then no text is filled. You can access last used text with Down arrow.

If you want to customize Search dialog behavior, open Program settings / Dialog. There is few options for it.
