Opening New File Causes All Tabs to Reload

Recently, when I open another text file using the "Edit with PSPad" context menu, all of my open tabs are being reloaded. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

I am using version 5.5.1 (825), 32-bit.

Do you really mean PSPad is reopening files that are already open? Or do you just see the tabs being redrawn? From my experience, PSPad sometimes takes a moment to refresh the tabs when you open or close files, but the files themselves aren’t reopened. Could this be what you’re seeing?
