I received a malicious behavior alert from my company's IT department. They are claiming that 'Wacatac' malware was detected in C:\Users\qqqalab\AppData\Local\Temp\pspadtemp.zip from when I upgraded from v5.0.7 to v5.5.1 using the PSPad Updater.

Would you please check that your upgrade server and/or build environment hasn't been infected by Wacatac so I can assure my IT department that it is still safe for me to use PSPad on my work computers? Thanx. I suspect it is a false alarm, but I'm now in the verify phase of "Trust but Verify"...

BTW, thank you for the stable release of v5.5.1.

Send the package to virustotal.com web site and you will see the check with tens of antiviruses. Without problem you can send the ZIP
What antivirus use your company?

There is one problematic antivirus engine what I am fighting from the begin. The mark PSPad as positive, I send request for false positive, they check it and remove detection. Again and again.
