#1 PsPad 5.0.7 - question to unicode characters

Hello,

I work with PsPad 5.0.7 - 775 on my Windows 10 system.

For some of my textfiles I get a popup
- file has defect UTF-8 encoding; do you want to continue?

(1) I think this is a false positive.
In order to test please use the file I sent for bug: PsPad 5.0.7 - crash with textfile
(2) In case it is not a false positive: how do I find the "malformed" character?

Thanks for your help in advance.
Best regards
herb

This happen usually in file with mixed encoding. UTF-8 encodes all chars above 127 value. One wrong file is enough to show you this warning

Hello,

thanks for your reply.
But the question is:
What is the best way/method to identify the position of the character with different encoding?
Thanks for your help in advance

Best regards
