pspad includes a macro manager, but even with the online help, I don't look through.
Is it possible to write a macro that searches for a regex pattern in the file like "\bMyVar=(\d\d\d)" and increments the number found (regex subexpression) by 1?

Macro manager handles macro record and run - sequence of editing in editor.
For your purposes use pspad scripting capabilities

Where can I find some example scripts to see how scripting works in PSPad? I have looked for something, but not found.

Thank you. I now had a second look at the example scripts, and while most of them are not really helpful for what I need, I found one script that is useful for me
