This just started happening.
Not sure why, but newly saved PsPad text files have a padlock on the icon?
I do not have Bitlocker turned on in Windows 11, but I did encrypt a text file the other day using 7 zip.
I did not encrypt the text files in question here.
I looked in PsPad setting to see on some sort of encryption was turned on but don't see anything
Why is this happening?
Thanks

PSPad has no buil in file encryption
Are you sure you doesn't set encryption attribute on folder?

I figured it out
It was only happening to files on my desktop which is where I had originally created a password protected file in 7 zip
If you right click on the folder and
choose properties - advanced - then uncheck Encrypt contents to secure data
Not sure why Windows 11 checked this box because I have never encrypted files
Anywho, problem is not a PSPad issue, it is a Windows issue
