#1 Shortcut ? file

Hi Jan,

Sorry to bother you with this - I am sure it is a simple answer.

I haven't used PSPad for a few years (just gone back to work) and I can't remember how to set up a file which stores user shortcuts.

i.e if I type
eh

PSPad will expand this to:
endhandle

I have looked at all the menu options and I can't see anything.

I'm pretty sure I didn't have to create the file.

PSPad had an interface for the user to enter the 2 values.

Thanks

Neil

Hello

This is autocorrect.
Menu Settings / Spell settings

Settings is stored in the AutoCorr.TXT file

Hi Jan,

Thanks for that.

I thought that was the option.

The problem is that when I select this option, I see the spell settings window but the dictionary option is blank.

I click the dictionary drop down but it doesn't give me a option to select the file.

Also the AutoCorr.txt file exists but PSPad is not reading it.

Thanks,

Neil

If you want to use spell check, you have to download and unpack dictionary files from PSPad download web into subfolder .\Spell

Where is the autocorrect.txt located? In the PSpad folder or %APPDATA%\PSpad folder?
If you use portable PSpad, all files are in PSPad folder.
For non portable PSpad, data are in the %appdata%\PSpad folder

Hi Jan,

So, apologies.

I didn't read the instructions again while trying to sort out why the file wasn't loading.

I have downloaded the English dictionary file and stored it in the /spell directory.

I now see this option in the Spell Settings window, but the window is still not reading the AutoCorr.txt file

AutoCorr.txt is located here

C:\Program Files (x86)\PSPad\

Thanks,

Hello. You don't need to have installed dictionary to use autocorrect.
If you have PSPad installed, use files and config ate stored in use profile %appdata%\pspad
Or open program setting / Backup
On the botyom is path where config files ate stoted. Click on it

Save autocorrect there
