#1 versions after 5.0.6 (589) unusable on my system

hello,

many thanks for this immensly helpful editor. being a hobby programmer, I've been using it for 15 years or so. smiling smiley

as of version 5.0.7 and all the following developer versions, it is unusable on my system (windows 11). the toolbars are now pretty much invisible black on black, and also the font in the editor area is now blurry (while I'd like it to be sharp as before).

here are two screenshots of "before" (5.0.6) and after (all later versions):

I checked the options/preferences, but couldn't find anything that would correspond to the issues.
I'm suspecting at least the toolbar issue has to do with my permanent dark system UI color theme.

I've tried searching this forum, but apparently nobody had this problem before.

for now, I'm sticking with the old version, but it would be awsome if someone could point me in the right direction how to keep using new versions of this awsome editor

any ideas? hints? suggestions?
any help is appreciated

thank you,
mihau

Hello

Is your PSpad installed or unpacked?
Does .\Skin subfolder exists and contains bitmaps?
Can you open settings / Program 1 and choose iconset for toolbar from the list?

I was using a very old installation and simply unpacked the newest latest- and developer editions over it

got it, thank you so much!
fixed both the toolbar issue and found the font settings

sorry for having wasted your time
