#1 v5.06 - won't start from text file double-click

Posted by: joemarfice | Date: 2021-04-12 14:58 | IP: IP Logged

When launching PSPad by double-clicking on a text file in File Explorer (with PSPad set as the default text editor, obviously), I get the following error in a popup:

Quote:
Error reading StatusBar.Left: Cannot create form. No MDI forms are currently active.

The file does not load.
When attempting to then close PSPad after dismissing this error, I get a new popup:

Quote:
Cannot change Visible in OnShow or OnHide.

I cannot close PSPad except by using Task Manager.

NOTE: v5.07b593 (developer's release) fixes this problem, but I'm still reporting it so anyone else can see the solution.

5.0.6 was updated with some fixes. Did you use the updated version?

No idea. That's not really visible to users, since the rev was the same, and the download site doesn't list the build # AFAICT.
