I have a new pc under windows 8.1 pro.
In the old one when I open a txt file to process its content I can't save while opened.
Now I can do this.
Why ?

Hello
There can be several reasons, why file can't be saved:
1. file is oopen by another process with write exclusive access
2. file has set attribute R/O or file access for read only
3. you set lock on the file in PSPad (lock button). PSPad remembers this state
4. PSPad.exe has set R/O attribute, in this case application isn't able to save files

In my case i can save the file. Even when opened or modified while I am using with a script of my own.
The circunstance is that before I can't save the file while is opened.
So what have I modified during this time ?.
The pc is new. The operation system is windows 8.1 in both. Only in the new is the pro version.
So I want to know what is the difference.
And how can i obtain this difference looking in the options of the program or the operating system.
I have the old pc too. So I can compare this differente behaviour.
Best Regards

Which PSPad version do you use?
I use VirtualBox and open file from Virtual machine is my daily job.
It's hard to answer, if I don't know any details. There is nothing "standard" what can prevent file to save.
