#1 Don't want to open automaticly in the HEX-Mode

Posted by: grobian | Date: 2012-09-20 06:08 | IP: IP Logged

I have a file with different binary charactery on top of the file. PSPad opens this file automaticly in HEX-mode. I don't want this. Can I change this behavior? Next topic: Can I switch between HEX- and text-mode if the file if opened? I don't find this function.

Thank you for helping.

I just have found the solution here in the forum for opening the binary file as text-file. Attention to all Germans: The "Direct edit button" is called "Special Settings". But I still don't know how to switch between the two modes.

Thank's for helping.

In the [special settings] section change value of variable to
AutodetectBinary=0
