Well, why should I give it a crazy name all the time? Then I need to select a folder and later I need to delete the file too in most cases..

Why PSPad can't do that for me?

Current PSPad behavior is that when you suspend your computer, PSpad will save new (non saved) files into temporary folder to prevent loose it.
After resume, files are restored with temporary names.
All is in the %TEMP%\PSPad\Resume folder.

Thanks for your reply pspad!
The behavior you describe is when you suspend the computer. But that will not work when you close the app.
My proposal would be that following happens when you close PSPad:
- No question if you want to save new unsaved files (configurable)
- After opening PSPad again, the unsaved files are there as if nothing happened

When you close app PSPaf asked you to save modified or unsaved files. It's up to you if you want to save it or not.

Hi, if I cought the topic, the request is to implement a feature to (optionally) save any unsaved work (even it is in an unnamed tab using the suspend feature) mainly without any asks for choosing the filename. Just open newtab, paste and go. And the next time to find it in the same tab. No asking. The file name is not important for this kind of usage. It could be a random temp file name, or it could be some private "repository". I use my own TODO.txt for this job. But never mind - this feature currently is already implemented, but just for a systém suspend request, not for user-initiated close request. I think lots of users are angry with tons of randomly named files, thats why it should be implemented as an option, but understanding the need to have such feature no one other implemented in app like this.

The initial request was for suspend / restore, cause people let application run when they suspend laptop.
Typical example: I work in office, then close laptop (it suspends) and open it at home.
It causes in the past some problems and unsaved files was lost.
This feature prevents it - it saves unsaved files locally into %Temp%\PSPad\Resume folder.

When you close PSPad manually, PSPad asks you what to do with modified or unsaved files. It's fully under user control if he wants to save files or dismiss changes.

Yes, but this would be an option to Close and save all without any asking.

It's a question of convenience. For a user it usually makes no big difference if:
- He closes the laptop
- He must restart the computer
- The computer restarts itself
- etc.
What makes the difference is, whether he has the documents after that incident and weather he is bugged with questions to save the file.
(Just two examples: Web browser will not ask you to save tabs with correct settings. They will just do it. Another well known text editor as well.)

pspad:
PSPad doesn't save it?

When you close the program it will ask to save it.
For some users it is more convenient, if it will just save it without asking.
(People have different tastes..)
