Windows 7, publishing ASP page on IIS server.
After ASP file is saved AND viewed on the web-server, returning to pspad produces the "File Contents were changed. reload?" message. (Always)

This is very annoying and possible reason to abandon PSPad.

Are you sure that ASP doesn't change last write time stamp? If yes, it's correct that PSPad inform you about file change.
You can switch it off in program settings / Direct edit button
CheckDocChanges=0

For me it does not work at all (even with v4.5.5 build 2390).
PSPad does not detect if file is changed outside the editor.

I am on Windows XP sp3

If you need my help to test alternative test version, please let me know.
I will be glad to help you.

Jan,

Is there anything that I can do to help you solve this problem? It is preventing me from using any of the beta versions. Thanks...

Same issue here, however it only occurs with files on network drive for me. Trying latest dev build now as this post forum.pspad.com suggests it has been fixed.

No, that doesn't fix the problem.

Happens quite often for me, too. I was wondering what was going on when switching windows and returning to PSPad and then getting this message to reload. I kept thinking I would some day click Yes and lose my work, but so far I haven't. ;)

Build: 4.5.5 (2395) on Win 7 (64 bit)

I would like to confirm this issue.

When editing a file (php) on a network drive (served by win xp or Server 2k3), this message appears, after the file is VIEWED in a browser.
Happens here in two different environments.

Looks to me like the CheckDocChanged - Function of PSPad checks wrongly the last access, not the last change of a file on a network drive.

Setting CheckDocChanged=0 helps at this point but I think thats an important feature when working right and I don't want to disable this for in worst case I save over changes from another machine.

I'm using PSPad 4.5.4 (2356) on Win7 Pro x64 machines.

Latest build (PSPad unicode 4.5.5 (2401) English) does not fix the problem.
