Hello Jan,

I tested this with version 2661

Version 2600 seems to work with "Smart file locking with LCK file" but if I switch to "Lock file with R/O attribute" every opened file is locked.

Greetings
Dirk

Hello dirk. Can you please go to program settings and uncheck Remember file state option in the program settings / Files and dirs? And test it again?

I found a problem in case when file name contains any unicode chars. Maybe it can be your problem.

Hello Jan,

I tested with files named like com.inc, tab.inc, test.txt etc.
-> only characters from ascii range

Please remember.....

From MSDN:
Do not use the following reserved device names for the name of a file:
CON, PRN, AUX, NUL, COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4, COM5, COM6, COM7, COM8, COM9, LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, LPT4, LPT5, LPT6, LPT7, LPT8, and LPT9.
Also avoid these names followed by an extension, for example, NUL.txt.

CLOCK$ is also a reserved device name.
------------

These Name are reseverd from the early ms-dos time.

Our problem has nothing to do with reserved filenames.
