Code Explorer not working for json files

Hi everybody,

before filing this in the bug forum just wanted to address it here before.

Whenever I load a .json file in the editor it cannot be displayed in the code explorer. Error Message shown (translated): "Not available for this datatype".
But I found entries showing a working code explorer in the forum here, like this one.

Any idea what goes wrong or what can be done to get the code explorer working for .json files?
