no PHP highlight with large files

version 504b407x64 -- problem exists since quite a few versions back, not with older versions.

I have 2 files with more than 1 MB and a lot of functions to be parsed. When loading, the beginning of the file is shown with highlighting, when loading finished, highlighting is gone.

Activating highlighting works immediately.

PSPad has limit for file highlighting.
To change limit, go to program settings and click on the direct edit button
Increase value of variable, e.g. to 1 500 00 bytes:
HlUpToSize=1500000
