Open files list not saved anymore

When I open PSPad the remembered list of open files seems to be stuck with same six files. I add to the open list, exit PSPad and when I reopen I'm back to same six files. I've not changed anything. The feature used to work. Is there some way to clear this glitch?

Ensure you don't copy PSPad to Program files folder. Any program has no rights to write there.

Anyway, recent files are written into Recent.INI file. The place where the files are stored you can see in the program settings / Backup (tha path is clickable)
