I think is the same problem with an URL, but an URL is recognized perhaps with the help of an addon or plugin.

I was doing proofs and notepad don recognize an URL (is not clickable). Notepad++ the same behaviour.

Therefore in a plain text file we have to use an interpreter.. tongue sticking out smiley

By the moment I can launch a target folder with the contextual menu option I said before with no problem.
So I am writing the path in the line i want. Then select and right mouse clic and open selected file with default application.

This option (open selected file with default application) I think is from pspad, so perhaps i have that plugin or is a standard in the normal version.

No it can't to know it.
File/folder path can contain spaces, URL like protocols not. So PSpad isn't able to take general text and duess where is end.

example:
I have some folder like e:\some folder name\and some other path in my disk and I want to highlight this folder.

Where is the folder path end?

Anyway I am applying the option in the contextul menu Open Selected file with the default Application. Goes Wonderful !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is for a simple txt file i am using for year to write down my works.
Each work has a windows folder assigned.
Now I can go !!!!!!!!

I put by example :
436.18 Comprobación substitucion piezas por otras sin autori
Y:\GABINETE\PROYECTOS\436.18

I selected with the mouse the text Y:\GABINETE\PROYECTOS\436.18 and launch with the right click option of the mouse.
You can use too for programs, files, urls.....

Let me see with a .lnk file... :
No. I suppose because a lnk file there is not exist a default application to open it.
And a folder with spaces in the path ... :

Y:\DATOS PARA EL RECUERDO\coreldrw\curriculum y busqueda trabajo

Wonderfully opened !!!!!!!!

Can I launch PsPad from inside Pspad ?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿

let me see

Y:\PORTABLES\DESARROLLO\PSPad\PSPad.exe

Eureka !!!!!!! It's working like a charm !!!!!!!!

I can launch video or audio files too
I have a script a long time ago to select a line of text. I am using the Control+. for this purpose

Can I have a script to select a text and remain selected to be launched ?

It was easy . I don't remember the environment : AHK, Autoit, phrase express.....
Can I with Pspad write a script for these and assign a hotkey ?
