Hi Jan,
Is there an option available such that PSPad will remember the location in the folder of the last file opened?
I often have to open a file with a similar name to the last file opened, for example:
Open: Filename.pmlfnc
Then open: Filename.pmlfrm
If not, would it be possible to add such a feature?
Note that I do not open the same pair of files often enough to create a "Project" for them.
Thanks,

Program settings / Files and dirs
Change option (o)Same as active document option in the bottom of page

Hi Jan,
Sorry, that is not what I meant.
Not just go to the same directory, but go to the same LOCATION in the directory.
It would act like I wanted to reopen the same file, so instead of starting from the start of the directory and then having to scroll down to the file I want.
Many programs do this now.
Thanks,

Hello
You can reopen file from recent file list, the fastest way is small aroow next to Open file toolbar icon. List is in the menu File too.
Last open file can be open with shortcut Ctrl+Alt+Z (you can change it)
PSpad uses standard open file dialog what doesn't allow you to mark file in list of the files.

Hi, I believe, the wanted functionality would be suitable e.g. for opening many files in alphabetic order, possibly in directories with many files.
(I personally prefer to use file manager for this case, but this was somehow the usecasee I implied in the original post.
If it is the case, the file explorer in the Tools panel (Ctrl+F2) might be used.)
regards,
vbr

Hi Jan
Thanks for the reply, but I assume that the answer is no I can't.
I don't want to reopen the same file, I want to open a file near it in the directory.
The program I commonly use that does this is AutoCad.
Thanks,

PSpad offers you file manager in the left panel.
As I said, PSPad uses standard windows open dialog control, PSPad has it's own one

Ah yes - that works fine.
And also quicker than using "file>open" !!

I assume you mean "AutoCad" has it's own one.
Thanks for file manager suggestion.
Cheers,
