Hi,

I Would like to make a "secret" Encoder/Decoder for my daughter.
It should replace alphanumerical characters with Unicode "pictures".
Any text I try to convert looks like this: "🎉í"
In what encoding do I save the converter correctly?
In what encoding does the original text have to be?

Thanx,
mm

This is my Convert, however it does not work:

[Description]
ForwardName=Veronika Secret Encode
BackwardName=Veronika Secret Decode
ForwardIgnoreCase=1
BackWardIgnoreCase=1
CharTab=0
UTF8List=1
[Conversion]
A|☺
B|⚒
C|

Save convertor into UTF-8 encoding.
Open convertor, go to menu format and click on UTF-8
Save it

Thanx for a quick response,

I did as you said. When I convert the text, looks like this: "🎉🌐⚐☼♫☼☏☼⛄♫ ⚐☼☺♡🌐✂ ☺☂🌐 ✂"

Cheers,
mm

Maybe someone could take the file sniplet from above, create and test the converter and the place it on-line afterwards when it works (send it to me via PM, or add it to next PSPad distribution)

Would be simply great.

Hi,
the following converter code seems to be working for me (saved as utf-8 encoded ini file in \PSPad\Convert\

I suspect, there might be a problem in handling unicode characters outside of the basic range up to 0xFFFF;
such as the used one:
